热烈祝贺2012年伦敦奥运会开幕! 海子网收到英国车迷Stephen的来信,介绍了2012年奥运火炬传递的故事：
“Excitement for the London Olympics has been generated by an Olympic torch tour all round Great Britain, witnessed by Honey and Qiuying in Harrogate. Steam trains played a major part, with Royal Scot class locomotive taking the flame from the National Railway Museum in York to Thirsk, A4 Sir Nigel Gresley taking the flame at Pickering, the Manx Electric Railway carrying the torch on Tram Car No. 1 (Isle of Man). The flame left the torch to go in a miner’s safety lamp on the Ffestiniog Railway and in Lincolnshire the torch took a trip on the Cleethorpe Coast Light Railway. The Snowdon Mountain Railway took the torch on its’ rack lines to the top of Snowdon where mountaineer Sir Christopher Bonington held it. Now it is in London and the games are set to begin.
