Oh, Really? If 日本新干线 is so good, then how do you explain the fact that except Taiwan, Japanese never succeeded to sell Shinkansen to anyone else?
Even with the Taiwan case, the reason was more political than technological or economical: After intense study and comparison of different systems, Taiwan railway signed a contract with TGV/ICE consortium to buy high speed rail from them; then some Japanese politicians twisted their arms to influence some Taiwan politicians, which in turn more or less forced the Taiwan railway to switch the contract to Shinkenson. TGV/ICE consortium sued for contract violation, and the court ruled that Taiwan railway to pay them \$80 million for contract breachment.
For the claim "如果使用轮轨的话,日本新干线还是最有优势的", I am wondering how much is really due to technical or economical merit of Shinkansen, how much is due to similar reason of the Taiwan case: the Japanese are just better at influencing officials or stakeholders at key positions?
