Maschen marchalling yard is the largest marchalling yard in Germany ,even in Europe,was founded in 1977, put into normal business operating is in 1980 later.located in the suburb of Hamburg,nearby the R.Elbe.It has the top automatical marchalling yard operating service system in Europe.It has 32-64(48) arrival and departure yard tracks,circa,and shunting yard  is the same as them. it's shunting efficiency is high, up to 10000 wagons per 24 hours, the total profound length of tracks is about 300km!!! meanwhile, in Billwerder ,found a modern intermodal/logistical(modernized container transportation station)  service system,and it's automatical/modernization operating degree is high, so it's efficiency is high too.
