媒体称5年后长途卧铺客车将退役 改用座车票价更高 2012-06-07昨天，在金家墩长途客运站内，32岁的何新华正准备乘卧铺客车去温州。5年后，何新华无法在武汉长途客运站买到卧铺客车车票了，因为这个车型将退出客运市场。
“坐客车十多个小时睡一晚可以直接到(温州)，比坐火车快一点，价格低些，票也好买!”何新华说。媒体发现，因票价、不用换乘、坐着舒适等原因选择搭乘卧铺客车的人不在少数。
根据国家工信部和公安部632号文件规定，在卧铺客车安全技术标准修订公布之前，工信部暂停受理卧铺客车新产品申报《公告》；自2012年3月1日起，相关卧铺客车产品暂停生产、销售，工信部暂停全部卧铺客车产品《公告》，公安机关、交通管理部门暂停办理卧铺客车注册登记。
湖北省客集团表示，近几年，卧铺客车多次发生火灾、交通事故，造成多人死亡、受伤，有关部门认为卧铺客车事故率高，双过道设计存在安全隐患，单门设计不利于逃生。3月至今他们没有采购一台新的卧铺客车，现有200多辆长途卧铺车运营着150条国内长途客运班线。按照现有车况，长途卧铺车将在五六年后退出客运市场。
